Our Holy scriptures teaches that there is a time for everything. This includes a time to speak and a time to stay silent. Given the recent events that have transpired in our country, I believe we are in a time when speech is essential.
The current issues of racism and injustice in America are deeply impacting our society and especially the black community. We believe, “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it” (1 Cor 12:26).
The Lakeport Community SDA Church condemns racism, prejudice, and hate of every kind. We are committed to being agents of change in our society and to educating ourselves in the areas of systemic racism and racial inequality.
We will strive to continue being a welcoming community to all people from different ethnicities and backgrounds.
